‘CHASING SPACE’

‘CHASING SPACE’ PUBLIC LECTURE was presented by former NASA Astronaut

On 07 August 2017, the public lecture titled ‘Chasing Space’ was presented by  Melvin a former NASA Astronaut, at Addis Ababa University Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The public lecture was jointly organized by Ethiopian Space Science and Technology Institute (ESSTI) and US Embassy in Addis Ababa. More than 600 audiences (primary, High school and university Students, teachers, and the public) were able to get a chance to attend Leland’s lecture and meet him in person.

የኢትዮጵያ የስፔስ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ምክር ቤት 1 መደበኛ ጉባኤ በክቡር ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ኃይለማሪያም ደሳለኝ ሰብሳቢነት ዛሬ በጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር /ቤት መሰብሰቢያ አዳራሽ ተካሄደ፡፡

ጉባኤው በዘርፉ የተጀመሩ ሥራዎችን የበለጠ ለማጎልበጎት የሚያስፈልጉ የቅንጅት ሥራዎችና የህግ ማዕቀፎችን በሚመለከቱ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ ውይይት አድርጓል፡፡

Research training on 'The Panchromatic Universe'

From 10th of July ESSTI in collaboration with Dr. Jose Ignacio García de la Rosa and Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC, Spain) is organising 8 days research training in Astronomy and Astrophysics on the topic 'The Panchromatic Universe'. More than 20 MSc, PhD students and lecturers from ESSTI and different Ethiopian Universities are taking part in it.

MEARIAM IV Meeting
