World Space Week (WSW)2015 Celebrated Colorfully

World Space Week 2015 celebration in Ethiopia was organized by Entoto Observatory & Research center(EORC) outreach program in collaboration with Ethiopian Space Science Society(ESSS) and celebrated colorfully by school and university students , academician and space amateurs on the 17th of October, 2015 at Addis Ababa Institute of Technology(AAIT) conference Hall, 5 kilo, Addis Ababa Ethiopia.

A total of 250 participants were gathered in the event among these 200 were school students who came from eight different schools such as Cruise, Nigat Kokeb, Ethioparent, Abunegorgorious, Ethionational ,Menilik preparatory, Medhanialem Preparatory and Lideta Cathedral Catholic Schools and the rest from AAIT , EORC , ESSS and individually.

Scientific presentation by students

During the half day program , the event was celebrated by different presentations followed by by Poster exhibition and interactive space movie related with the theme of world Space Week 'Discovery'.

The presentation by Zemichael Dametew , who is a10th grade student from Abunegorgorious school, was astonishing . Zemichael presented his new rocket design called 'lalibella' which he mentioned as anew design in its kind that introduce a new technological advancement in space craft building. He mentioned about his new space craft called Mesobit M12 which is planned to be built using lalibela design with efficient power engine that can carry passengers in to deep space. Zemichael said that the design of his space craft consists of 12 Variable Specific Impulse Magnetoplasma Rocket(VASIMR)
